Coming soon: The DeLorean Story
By Larry Ribstein on Film
As I discuss in my article, Wall Street and Vine, while Hollywood might seem to be anti-business, there are businessmen it likes – the flashy, artistic types, such as Howard Hughes, as I discuss in this post on The Aviator.
So, as Holman Jenkins suggests in today's W$J, we might be seeing a movie on John Z. DeLorean, Hollywood's perfect businessman: fraudster, cocaine dealer, maker of shoddy cars:
Uh oh. Michael Moore, call your agent. Or maybe Oliver Stone. Conspiracies? Right-wingers? A business guy with a social conscience beaten down by the corporate machine? By the time Tinsel Town gets done, the attractive Mr. DeLorean will be a hero for the ages. |
