GVIL sells it modem business. They plan to concentrate on some new unannounced product. I'm just considering the possibilities here - but could it be that AAPL does want to buy GVIL, but not for the modem biz, for some part of AMP. So Jobs convinces them to dump the commodity modems first ??? Stranger things have happened .... ** David
