It shouldn't be surprising that the Taleban is still active, really. From what I have read, everything outside of Kabul basically has not changed very much, if at all. And well supplied with money! That was an interesting part of the article. Who is financing them? I would like to know that. On one of the cable news programs last week I saw a brand new Al Qaida training film. They are also still very actively recruiting. When George Bush said "bring it on" and invited them all to Iraq to duke it out there, they took him seriously. Now they are just pouring in, seemingly in larger and larger numbers.
