Americans are not going to be happy with long drives to doctors, labs and X-ray dept as well as long waits for all of the above on a regular basis.
When you get to the bottom of why health care costs so much in America, you're not going to like what you see.

The picture is complex, but it's not going to be magically solved by a state takeover of the health insurance industry, i.e. single payer. This is because insurance only adds a sliver to the overall costs.
