Hello Jack,

As investors, we are between a wall and a hard place! We can't
afford not to invest, but we have to be careful where to invest.

As far the BEAR market is concerned, I think we do not have the
right elements for a bear market. The infaltion seems to be none
to negligible. There is the possiblity that Federal Reserve's
self-declared pre-emptive strike will be sufficent to cool
economy's heels.(we will know by the end of april!)

I think more damaging than infaltion is the impact interest rate hike
on investors behavior. A great deal of capital will probably be
shifted from equity market to money market funds. However, there is
still more cash flowing into equity funds than out. Investors will
shift from aggressive grouth funds that drove the market's
advance in recent months to more conservative investments.

So,where to invest amidst such confusion?
I tend to believe that stock market perfromance could come from
companies with the market capitalization of $ 5 billion and up,
in sectors that are not effected in Feds decide to take one or
two other moves in 1997.

Jack, I realize that there is an IF attached to every thing I have
said, becasue I think not even Alan Greenspan knows what is next. As
investors all we can do is to stay alert, keep cash on hand in case
there is a 15 to 20% orrection, and look for greener pastures.

What do you think?
