Your original point was that AMD is demand constrained, and I was trying to, just for the sake of argument, come up with arguments against this.

Of course there is the other option, that AMD was production constrained due to yields, fab capacity. That itself would not be any better from the point of view of AMD investor (hoping to see $10 per year eps).

So the least bad situation was the one about problems with packaging that was floated around the BBS, under which we have 100s of thousands of good Athlon chips waiting to be packaged and sold.
