somewhat OT

This small firm is upping estimates on desktop linux strength with a 2 year timeframe.

If it takes too long for msft to come out with XP-64, it isn't going to matter anymore.

:01PM Novell price target raised at Davenport; bullish on Linux prospects (NOVL) 9.23 -0.50: Davenport raises tgt range to $13-$18 from $7.50-$9.00. Firm says that its estimates for Novell are conservative and are based on an incremental benefit from the co's Linux initiative. However, firm believes Novell has the potential to generate significant upside to its revenue and earnings estimates in the event it becomes the lead provider of Linux server and desktop operating systems over the next two years. Since Davenport believes Novell's Linux initiative has good potential to succeed, firm is establishing an upper end target of $18 per share.
