That is the understatement of the day. I agree with you, esp when this proposal is coming at the heels of nuclear tests, blast for blast, eye for an eye and tit for tat.
My feeling is there are sane minds in the midst of this nuclear triumvirate. They have known and seen what the nuclear genie, when unleashed, could do.
My feeling is that US stands in the sidelines because of the fact, by law, the president had to enforce sanctions and it is not going to sit well with the South Asians. Once the triumvirate work out a solution to ensure peace in South Asia, US and its allies can abrogate the sanctions and enlarge on the prevailing solutions.
