I am so STUPID! I completley missed the significance of the Iomega news about a battery powered Zip drive.

It's for Laptops, of course. They don't need to be built-in, and they don't need to plug in where the FD or CD-ROM go. This is simply a way of increasing the portablility of the parallel version of the Zip drive.

This is almost as good as a new OEM agreement.

Gosh, those Iomega people are smart!
