here came a good news:
BellSouth Corp. agreed to pay $13.3 million for "wireless cable" licenses that will let it offer video
services in north-central Georgia by zapping signals to tiny rooftop antennas. BellSouth, an
Atlanta-based telephone company, will pay CS Wireless Systems Inc. $7.3 million for rights to
several licenses covering the area outside metropolitan Atlanta. It will also pay $6 million to
acquire the license for Atlanta from CAI Wireless Systems Inc. Nynex Corp. and Bell Atlantic
Corp. each own 5% of CS Wireless, while CAI of Albany, N.Y., owns 54% and Heartland
Wireless Communications Inc. of Plano, Texas, owns about 35%. Both transactions are expected
to close in the first quarter of next year, pending
