Dear, dear Gregor. I have had several months to reflect on the world around me and where it appears to be going on all levels, and I guess the need for prayer in all areas will probably accelerate.
I guess that's about all anyone could really say. Hopefully our Lord will strengthen everyone's commitment. I know to see Jamie's mother's words reminds me of how people suffer when tragedy hits.
All the more important to be instant in season. The scripture as given by our Lord, through His own mouth, and I do believe with all my heart protected and printed through the power of the HOly Spirit moving through men, instructs us only to pray. For the sick especially. That this is a purpose for the Life of Jesus, and a basic purpose for being Christian. He put so much emphasis on that one thing: Go heal in my name. Go tell them that the sick are healed...etc., etc.
He didn't give seminars on why, or how. He just gave very simple instructions that IF WE ASK OF THE FATHER IN HIS NAME, it would happen. But again, if it didn't, He didn't spend a lot of time giving lengthy explanations, or instructing the praying person not to lose hope, etc. So that shows me the cards are always stacked for the healing to happen, not the other way around. Jesus also spoke highly of the admiration the Father had for the person who banged on His door in the middle of the night when He was trying to sleep. So, that again goes against those who tell us to quietly pray and then trundle off and forget about it.
So, I guess all of these things mean nothing to anyone unless they are explained by the Holy Spirit. Again, of course, Faith comes by hearing. Hearing from the Word of God. We need to revive our spirits with all those healing scriptures. Nothing quite works as good as a Thompson chain and about an hour to follow every scripture leading off from the subject "Healing". Those journey are always quite amazing.
I believe this is going to be a wonderful year for those who truly love Jesus Christ as He instructed, and have thereby become closer to God the Father in so doing.
