The Iraqi Army is hopeless, from what I have been hearing on cable news television the last week or so. Our generals have no hope of it becoming self sufficient. So we are either stuck in Iraq, or we are just going to have to unilaterally get up and leave. Not a pretty picture, either way. But I have been hearing conservatives say that the Iraqis will just have to defend themselves, that we have done enough. Well, yes, gee, we certainly have done enough by going over there and destroying their government and killing lots of civilians and leaving nothing but a big mess that will probably turn into a civil war, plus we created many thousands of terrorists because our actions were so despicable, and that is the reaction in the Arab world. I am really ashamed of my country, and particularly its war mongering leaders. This was not worth the sacrifice of American lives.
