Nutek CEO Murray N. Conradie Appointed To Business Advisory Counsel WASHINGTON, D.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 30, 2002--Officials from the National Republican Congressional Committee announced that Mr. Murray N. Conradie has been appointed to serve on the Business Advisory Council (BAC) as an Honorary Chairman and has been presented with the prestigious National Leadership Award.
Mr. Conradie, President and Chief Executive Officer of Nutek, Inc. (OTCBB:NUTK - News), will serve the State of Nevada and is expected to play a crucial role in the Party's efforts to involve top business people in the process of government reform.
The Business Advisory Counsel is part of the National Republican Congressional Committee, and is dedicated to making sure that small business has a voice in Washington. Mr. Conradie's name will be featured in a National Media campaign in a series of full-page ads in The Wall Street Journal and USA Today.
Mr. Conradie commented, "My major focus with this appointment is to bring before Congress, the NASD and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, and to direct their attention to, the rampant stock market manipulation that is occurring daily on the OTC Bulletin Board market, in which a number of NASD registered brokerage firms and market makers conduct illegal short sales of OTC Bulletin Board listed stocks, manipulating the markets in these stocks for their own financial gain. These manipulators improperly use the privileges granted to them by the SEC and the NASD to steal countless dollars from the investing public, and it is time for these people -- the companies and the individuals responsible for such activities -- to be brought to justice.
"In the case of my company, Nutek, we have convincing evidence that certain individuals, along with their associates, utilized certain specific brokers and market makers to advance their illegal schemes, and we are confident it will only be a matter of time before all of these individual traders, the brokerage firms and the market makers they work through or for, will be brought to justice. We are evaluating several methods to force every share of stock issued by Nutek to be accounted for, as well as the possibility of pursuing civil action against the individuals and companies involved."
