Hi Bruce...About Novell Marketing/PR

Excellent Post.

>>Salah, the challenge is now ... not lying ahead. Notice how MSFT is getting press for this Networking 'development in progress' ... while, at least until now ... Novell has actually solved these type of problems and tried to keep it a secret until the work was done ... I think they called this 'stealth mode'.<<

MSFT marketing/PR machine is making life miserable for Novell with "stealth products", can you imagine how much more miserable it will be when these products are released?. As a minimum, I hope some of Novell marketing/PR people read your post and learned a thing or two. But, Are they doing something about it?. I doubt it very much.

What I don't understand is: with the appointment of Eric Schmidt, alliances with SUNW, NSCP, & ORCL, and Brainshare with several product announcements, they got some very positive coverage in the press. One would logically think that "Rock the Net" campaign would be going full bore to capitalize on the positive image they projected over the last two weeks. Sadly, they went back to their shell and died.

Regards

Salah
