The Medicare and Medicaid budge cuts remind me of the feeling my parents had when they were in their eighties.. My Father felt that the Doctors just didn't really want to bother with him. The attitude that was rather prevalent was that you have lived your life,we cannot do much for you and we have younger people to care for. He became resigned to this until I intercepted and got him to a good hematologist.. who finally did a diagnosis which at least gave him notification of six months. Similarly, the budget cuts in these programs sound to me like, well we can cut back on seniors as they won't be around long enough to make a difference in the political arena. Now that I live in Florida six months of the year.. where there are more grey heads than probably anyplace else in the Country(not me yet) the dissatisfaction with this RX program is causing a big stir.. A lot of seniors will end up paying more than previously and the plan is so confusing that even the druggists don't know how to interpret it.
