Keep in mind I was only referring to the 'process' of evolution, not faith in evolution or the details of specific evolutionary interactions, or anything else about evolution. We know because we are able to observe how an entity tends to adapt and change in a beneficial manner and when it doesn't it fails to grow or to thrive. This is true of biological systems and other types of systems that have a developmental construct.
