The Great Recession was the biggest thing that happened in our lifetimes. It destroyed nearly $90 trillion of wealth. $20 trillion of investment wealth was lost in just four months. The Fed pumped $1.2 trillion into the banking system in ONE day. Democrats passed TARP with two-thirds voting for it. Only one-third of republicans voted for it. The US exists today because Dems did that vote. You're welcome.
