I'm still not 100% positive about that "dead to rights" assumption.

But yeah, cases flimsier than those related to the financial meltdown have gone to trial. I'm just not so sure than any of these execs, if indictments actually happened, would have been convicted.

Overall, it's a breakdown of the system. The worst these execs could have been convicted of was gross negligence. Being greedy-ass old farts is still legal in this country.
