The data is transmitted about as twice as fast as a standard telephone modem.

112kbs or so! This is where I was going with this. (also hoped that QUALCOMM had something to do with this marvelous technology).

Helps me understand at least somewhat what 1x will be capable of when I read articles stating such things as "delivering speeds up to 64 to 144kbs".
