Actually it's a statement to those who in this case are
willfully ignorant. They willfully choose "not to see".

For if they were to honestly attempt to achieve a reality
based POV, they would clearly see their inflexible,
intolerant, intellectually dishonest, groupthink based,
alternate reality is not only wrong; it is immensely harmful.
