"(…the fix was in!)" Evolution involves growth, improvement, and becoming (qualitatively and quantitatively). Many things are fixed. Rules are fixed, archetypical forms, logic, interactions, the expression of energy, to name but a few. A tendency toward well being of things; at least over the long run the process of evolution is advantageous to adapting things. Perhaps the light of consciousness is dim but that too is emerging phenomenon. one_less_consumed
