Novell Senior Vice President Carolyn Rose, a 10-year Novell veteran who was instrumental in building the company's training and certification arm, resigned today.
Bob Puissant, formerly in charge of Novell Education's skills development, is replacing Rose as vice president and general manager of Novell Education. Rose has no immediate employment plans, said a company spokesperson.The Novell training and education unit is recognized as one of the leaders in the PC industry.
Rose was responsible for overseeing Novell's widely recognized CNE (Certified Novell Engineer); CNA (Certified Novell Administrator); and CNI (Certified Novell Instructor) certification as well as Novell's Authorized Education Centers and Academic Partner programs.
Novell Education recently finished an aggressive certification push referred to as Certification Month. The promotion certified 1,500 by offering exam discounts, new courses and sweepstakes to Information Technology professionals.
New courses including Building Intranets With Intranet Ware; and IntranetWare: Integrating Windows NT also were unveiled as part of Novell's new Internet Certification, Novell Certified Internet Professional. =====================================================================
