I saw a movie today I think you would enjoy. It's a documentary called "The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill," about a guy in San Francisco who devotes his life to caring for a flock of escaped parrots and the bond he creates with them. Lots of stuff about how the parrots have their own individual personalities.

Certainly made me less eager to eat a chicken.
