Correction of the Day

PoliPundit.com

An Old York Times correction:

<<<

An article on May 6 described a demonstration at Princeton University against the proposal by Bill Frist, the Senate majority leader and a Princeton graduate and board member, to bar filibusters on judicial nominees. The writer, a freelance contributor who is a Princeton student, did not disclose to The Times that before she was assigned the article, she had participated in the demonstration.

UPDATE: I found an article about the Princeton demonstrations at CNN.com by the same “reporter.” Note how the article includes all the subtle tactics that the lying liberal media uses every day:

<<<

Only people who support the liberal agenda are quoted. Conservatives are entirely ignored.

No mention is made of the Democrats’ unprecedented abuse of the filibuster. Instead, the article completely buys into Democrat talking points, noting:

<<<
Democrats and Republicans have used the filibuster in the Senate to slow or derail legislation.<
>>>

The liberal agenda is portrayed as bipartisan:

<<<
At Princeton, Republicans, Democrats, independents and libertarians have expressed support of the filibuster by taking the microphone, although a group of Republican students protested the filibuster while NBC cameras rolled last week.
>>>

Negative words are used when Republicans are mentioned:

<<<

Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, a 1974 Princeton graduate, has threatened to use the “nuclear option,” reducing the number of votes needed to stop a filibuster if Democrats use the tactic to try to block some of President Bush’s judicial nominees.
>>>

The last word goes to a supporter of the liberal agenda:

<<<

“We’re taking the message from Frist’s alma mater to his doorstep, and we believe it’s critical for American democracy that he hears it,” said Ben Strauss, a graduate student organizer.
>>>

This “freelance” reporter is well on her way to becoming another drone in the lying liberal media’s legions.
