Animal Control's driver was the alarmist about the dog.. whom I am calling TOTO... She is still here and now coming within 5 feet and not 10.. Progress. The woman who operates facility came out last night on her own time. She said the dog is just matted and not sick. It must have been in the woods for months.. It is part Wheaten Terrier and Yorki... She is bringing her own dog and daughter by this morning to see if we can get Toto to come at least within grasping range... Anita said she is very adoptable, once groomed and checked out. With that face and spirit to live she is a remarkable dog. So, all my scrubbing with Lysol and worrying about the other three pets who live here was for naught. And thinking I had a Dead Dog Walking.... was for naught. Thank you for your concern. Ish responded and you too Grannie. It's nice to have a caring group of people. Will let you know what ultimately happens but she can live here... sleeping on the porch.. on blankets and eating on the porch and hiding at the garage door for as long as it takes to assure her that she is safe.
