Imo requiring the foreclosing party to produce the original note or assignment is stupid as all get out, there is no reason why a copy that is sworn to be authentic can't get the job done ... why the heck would anyone trust the clerk of the court with the original of the note? You had to trust them with the original deed and mortgage to get them recorded, but they send the originals back to you. It's much better to rely on an authenticated copy.
