Thanks for the tip on the motley fool coverage. This is my first foray into the world of Stocktalk, so bear with the following observations/questions.
This stock, or actually the market for it, confounds me. It appears that today's volume was huge (approaching 1,000,000 shares, according to Yahoo), yet there was no news and the stock was only down 1.5. Then there are the 'analysts', who cut their estimates on the company's earnings, despite the company's statements that earnings growth will be 'sustainable', which I interpret as meaning those analyst's estimates for FY1997 are probably quite low.
Intel, PRIA's biggest customer and 3rd largest shareholder, today announced 2 new major manufacturing facilities to be completed by 1998. PRIA has little competition, so their business is not going to evaporate unless people stop buying semiconductors, which seems unlikely.
What is the bad news on this stock? I don't see it. Is the message simply that the market is unbelievably inefficient and I can actually make some money by trading a stock like this? |
