>The connection between Loronix and Comverse is not entirely clear. Can you explain the logic behind the deal?

"Loronix will continue to be run as an independent company until we consider how to integrate it into Comverse's activities."

Aren't you supposed to do that before buying the company?

"Our general idea is to utilise their video technology throughout the company. The primary affinity is with Infosys's civilian field."<

well, i won't ever accuse the good folks at CMVT for their brutal dishonesty ...

so, Kobi's regressing back to his spy vs. spy days? i can't totally figure this one out either, but dumb logic tells me that this acquisition is CMVT's first foray into video services, e.g., transmitting digital video (MPEG compression) live across LANs, WANs and the Internet. how 'bout a George Jetson answering service that records both voices and images? video caller ID?

(based in Colorado, sadly, i read that a half-dozen school districts purchased LORX's security cameras in the wake of the trenchcoat mafia at Columbine High. casinos seem to love the product too.)

at 125 employees, i think we got a veritable bargain. only $1.8M a pop! maybe the cushy tax break could come in handy too. with an 8% net profit margin, LORX's bottom line could use a little help.

can someone help me out without a cut & paste post?
