Here's the best part. Congress could have passed an exemption from the 'emoluments clause’ but chose not to. Republicans can now use it against Trump whenever they want. Trump was too stupid to ask for an exemption.

Article One, Section 9, Clause 8.

"And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, "without the Consent of the Congress," accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State."
