CEO Bramson says in his letter to the stockholders, in effect, that this Maxtor deal is just the opening shot to get other players, already at the negotiation table, to sign jucier deals. He also says he expects to be reporting a lot more by the time the Annual Report goes out. He also hints that there are other things besides Keepering that can make Ampex a winner in "97
