We are having hellacious winds near the L.A. airport. My kitchen window just blew in knocking all the magnets off my refrigerator and the knickknacks off the shelf - glass everywhere. Got a robo-call from the city saying that several trees have come down bringing power lines with them and leaving half the city in the dark. They're saying to stay inside and that they've dispatched help to fix stuff. They left a number to call for any problems. LAX is closed and dark - no lights there either. Several cities in the South Bay are also dark. And we're not the ones who are supposed to be getting these winds. 80mph winds predicted for the valley and canyons.
