It's hard to believe that an investment of FIVE HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS was motivated by a switchover from TSOP to BGA packaging. Nor does Micron have any kind of monopoly on BGA packaging and testing. The article, though interesting, is far from the whole story. No mention of SyncLink?
