Margin is a tool to be managed and the best money managers will leverage on a 10 to 1 basis and carefully watch their investments and their margin never be afraid of margin, Just be afraid of not having enough. To me the biggest mistake of the individual investor is to see margin as a bad thing. Soros doesn't and neither do the other Hedge fund managers. Like anything else learn through experience, to handle it. Don't sell the house appropriately mortgage it.
