Come on now, lets look at this critically. Of course the gut flora will change if you regularly consume anything and then go cold turkey off it. You would expect sugar loving bacteria to die off. Next ,after they die off if you challenge the person with sugar ,clearly they will not be as efficient in metabolizing it. This might argue for not alternating one month of artificial sweeteners with one moth of regular sugars. I could have predicted the above before the study outcome. I will listen to the study on 350,000 people in Europe. Carbs should be restricted to under 10% of your diet
