That is quite amazing. I am amazed Grace. Actually, I am really Grace, and both my grandmothers were named Grace, which is strange.
I believe that the closer we look the more astounding the word becomes. Again, it is only revealed by God. In the beginning was the word, the word was with God, the word was God. And the Word become flesh and dwelled amongst us, and will again soon I most certainly hope.
I am amazed at what you saw in the scriptures. I believe that is exactly it. That IS the driving force behind all of the history I speak about, those who grieved not the Holy Spirit and loved their lives not unto death. It is just sometimes beyond the limit of words. And not limited to past history, of course, but somehow the brethren in the past seem to have had it 10 times worse than most in our own time.
Would like to pass this on: I work with a guy who is totally cool in every way and never says anything spiritual at work as a clue, but the other day we were alone for a minute and he all of a sudden he's telling me about his experience on the other side. Surely it must have been a divine appointment, since none of us stand around and talk alot because we're all too busy, and I have no idea how in the world how the door opened for him to tell me.
When he was l7 he was dead in an emergency room for 10 minutes he says. Some sports accident. Not a car, but total head hemmoraging and brain damage, like in a head-on collision.
I didn't remember many details because I was just standing there staring at him, making stupid amazed utterances, because I never met anyone who had been on the other side.
He said it was like the white light you hear about, but just beautiful, what he remembered the most were all of the loving people that came up around him. He said it was the most wonderful feeling you could imagine. So like I said, I just heard it all in a blur of wonder, but I asked, did you see any relatives--anyone you knew? And he got this angelic look remembering it,and of course the presence of God was all around us as he told the story, and he said "no, but it was like I knew them all, I just loved them, and I knew I belonged there with them."
That makes perfect sense because he was l7 at the time of the accident and probably didn't know any dead people at that age to recognize.
He said it felt like he was there for weeks, and then had the same experience everyone has who does not actually die, he knew he had something he had to do here, and I don't remember anything else he said.
He is now very involved with God, as you can imagine, and loves Jesus Christ quite openly. He too expects the Lord to return for us very soon. He stressed that absolutely he was there, it was as real as us talking together, but just different, and he knew he was in "spirit" form rather than human while he was there. He can't wait to get back, and he lights up like an angel talking about it.
When we get a chance I must ask him for more details, if he can remember all of them.
Thank you, Shalom, for your most excellent answers to my question, based totally on the Word of God. |
