JDN, I agree that Pope John Paul II was a very good leader for the Catholic denomination, and probably one of the best in my life time. Perhaps I am just sensitive because of an event in my early life, that caused some grief for my Mother, and Grand Mother that gave be a bad impression of the Vatican. As I mentioned some time back, I have had many very good friends that were Catholics, and have enjoyed being with them. It is not the denomination that I have a problem with, and really not any Pope, except for the one that was a Nazi sympathizer, but some of the goings on by those in the Vatican have made me sour. Even about that particular Pope, there were many Nazi sympathizers that were supposed to be on our side, like the King of England, and even Charles Lindberg.
