Seems like Intels chipset strategy continues on it's fragmented course. Yet they still insist on RAMBUS. I can't figure out if they are just hardheaded or on a Kamakazie mission. Only Solano makes sense right now...and it seems that's dumbed down...
Maybe Intel should FAB some RDRAM?
As for Merced...it won't scale...easy prey for a chip that will. I hope AMD realizes this...let Intel do all the dirty work and scoop the IA 64 market with a faster chip...
