I agree with your statements about the RBOCs. But, what you give with the one hand, you should take away with the other, and that is their 100% monopoly on local access charges. AIT still to this day charges for local calls. I also pay $11.50 a month just to have the phone, even if I make no calls. Where does that go? Lastly, now BLS has their own ISP. I wonder, will they also charge per minute usage for using their proprietary service? When competition is wide open, then I will be willing to accept their argument, until then, no way. |
