Philadelphia Exchange to alter Semiconductor index Reuters Story - December 16, 1996 14:31 FINANCIAL ELI US DPR BUS HOT STX .SOXX LLTC XLNX LRCX CY IDTI IRF V%REUTER P%RTR Jump to first matched term NEW YORK, Dec 16 (Reuter) - The Philadelphia Stock Exchange said it plans to add two computer chip companies and a semiconductor equipment maker to its Semiconductor Index and remove three stocks currently listed on the index. The exchange said it plans to add Linear Technology Corp , Xilinx Inc and Lam Research Corp . Current components Cypress Semiconductor Corp , Integrated Device Technology Inc and International Rectifier Corp will be dropped from the 16-issue index. The 13 other stocks that comprise the index remain unchanged. The changes will become effective at the opening of trading on January 20, 1997, the exchange said. ((E.
