you missed the starting point, Slacker claimed that they were out there and that QCOM had a share.

I claim (know) that they LTE HW has been out there for 3 years, but there is no uptake otehr than USB modems.

your point is more re-enforcement of it. but I use my Droid Bionic all day long and leave on the LTE function. I have hte extended battery in it and it lasts pretty much 6-8 hours for me.

I do not think that LTE can get to the same power point as the 3G technologies and the best route would be to leave LTE in idle state and use 3G until it is needed to go to LTE. they can do very fast ACQ like they did on wifi and make it useful and far less power.

IMHO, the software is what is WAY late.
