Shalom, My bibles say a Burnt Offering.... I didn't day anything about love or sin. Abraham had sacrificed before ...right?? If you ask me Isaac had the faith...this was a burnt offering. Read Genisis chapter 22. It is not something that they hadn't done before. refernce even gen22:7 this wasn't just in Abraham's head. even Isaac knew about burnt offerings. Isaac said to Abraham " I am here. Here is the fire and the wood, but where's the lamb for a burnt offering?" Where did Isaac get all this knowledge about sacrifices.?? A burnt offering is for atonement.. isn't it??
