I think your posts are always well-written and thoughtful, Poet. As I recall a couple of those powerful missives were aimed directly at me in times past, and of course hardly anyone enjoys that, although learning is often involved.
I am sort of reading backwards tonight, and I encountered some of your later posts mentioning Bill, but not the first one, so I was puzzled about who this Bill was you were talking about. I'm glad you told me it was your husband. I thought briefly that it might be the prolific Feelies poster Bill, but that didn't seem logical because I didn't think you knew him personally. What an adventure? What prompted him to decide to do this? I would assume there are real risks to his safety. Are you at all worried for him, or just very proud, as you should be?
I would welcome your posts relating Bill's experiences as a rescue worker, Poet. I look forward to reading them!
Personally, I am doing really fine, except for my dying cat Lizzie, whose 18th birthday is on October 1st. She was diagnosed last January with injection site sarcoma, and has a huge hard growth on the back of her neck. She is still eating and playing and sunning herself, but we are watching her closely for signs that would indicate it is time to say goodbye. I don't want her to suffer. The vet said in January it could be a few weeks or a few months, so she has already survived a very long time for a cat with cancer. |
