Bill, The flu shot is always and educated guess as to the flu variant that will emerge on a given year. Despite shots - one of my sons was sick and tested positive for the flu during a particularly critical stage in my wife's chemo. We all went on antivirals. Results - Sick son recovered fast with fewer symptoms and none of the rest of us became sick. I would stockpile - the flu shot is not a panacea. BTW My wife was put on Tamiflu - my son and and I were given Flumadine (which could be stockpile longer its a pill). John
