Yes, it's influence is unique to each individual. Regarding mania the only example that springs to mind is the joy or the unfortunate torment that is sometimes associated with self induced altered states and, in essence, acceptance of the ride as opposed to resistance. Still, I'm sure many have little control or even choice in the matter. Rapid cyclers have always intrigued me since they experience both depression and mania repeatedly throughout the day. It seems that would be incredibly difficult in managing one's affairs so their average life span intrigues me too.
Personally, I've only had two major manic episodes which were separated by a twelve year interval thus I have marked my calender regarding my future. -g- In my case it is a utterly mystical phenomenon which has included irrefutable (truly) psychic ability and certainly zeros in on Jung's interpretation of synchronicity which Sting snuck in a song. Artistic results are ramped to extreme as well as sexual inclinations, free spending, little sleep and many, many visits to museums as art melts you to your soul and is seen as never before.
But, (and here's the part you won't believe) because you've left our common dimensions and could be considered a human anomaly you are accessible to...wait for it...higher intelligence. And get this, I have medically verified physical evidence to prove it.
Once again, who are those schizophrenics talking to? Because I don't know. |
