Don't forget that the price of energy (i.e. oil) has tripled or quadrupled since Clinton's time. The economy has taken a large tole because of that expense to business. My how the wingers forget this fact. Again, GWB was asleep at the wheel in attacking this problem (and it's going to get worse). Fortunately, Obama is working to improve standards in fuel economy and investing somewhat in alternative energy.
