Hi Cary,

Well, it's official: Semi-equips are now at the absolute bottom in terms of performance of all industry sectors that are tracked at Barcharts.com (underperforming even the near-death airline industry) www2.barchart.com

If this is still a growth cyclical industry, now should be the time to think about investing - no?

I am already long NVLS and short AMAT Jan 17.5 puts and am considering adding a much smaller and more speculative name to the portfolio, GGNS. I know that you are not enamored of these smaller names in general, as it is no fun competing against AMAT and they have little in the way of LT sustainable competitive advantage. What makes me interested in GGNS is simply this: (1) of all the companies in the industry that have a minimum of debt, it has fallen the most, and (2) I have noticed that in every cyclical upturn, its percent gain from trough to peak far exceeds AMAT, NVLS and KLAC.

Wondered if you might have any thoughts about this strategy.

Sam
