Whomever thought that deserved to lose and should solicit a quality financial advisor. Whomever told them that or sold them income trust investment based on that should have their license revoked or/and be sued.

There are quality low risk income producing, tax efficient investments aplenty that do not involve income trusts. Again, retain a quality financial advisor.

Ichy, though at the outset I was greatly disappointed, with the gigantic (and I mean gigantic) trusts forming on the sidelines, threatening the very taxation structure of this country...put it this way...if the corporations are not going to pay the tax just who do you think is going to pay to make it up? Something had to be done and it is the Torys that had the guts to do the dirty. Sure the Lieberals backed away. They only follow the polls. The Harper Government had the cahones to do what wasn't politically popular...in a big way. Think about it for a moment. Harper is no dummy and he has an economics background. He actually did what was best for the country rather that than bending to the special interest groups of geriatrics and oil patch conglomerates.

That is my humble opinion.
