$M,

I've just been waiting for its release to see if the concerns I've read here have any validity or not. I talk to the author (Rogan) of that Active Trader piece every few weeks and am planning on bending his ear after some of you folks use real money in the system.

As I've noted here recently, my current strategies are almost entirely NYSE. Just a way for me to avoid Naz volatility and these changes until things settle down. What I can't tell from the concerns is whether they focus solely on scalping entry/exit or will induce greater slippage on longer term positions. It appears mostly scalping type stuff. I also strongly believe (and teach) that the most effective entry and exit goes slightly against the crowd flow. It doesn't appear that trading that way will be impacted at all by the changes.
