I am glad my mention of Anglogold struck a resonant note with you. It is, in fact, also my largest gold holding! I don't like punting shares (because I have been wrong too many times), but I would have thought Anglogold is an excellent core holding for someone who wants a gold investment in a very uncertain market. Being the largest and richest gold mining company in the world, also gives one reassurance on the down-days.

The JSE was much steadier this AM but nothing to shout home about.
