Boy, this thread is dead. What happened to Bruce Cullen and why were all his enthusiastic posts deleted suddenly?
Still, there seems to be sign of life, although not expressed in the stock price. They need sales. Assuming apple survives, this seemed to me very positive. Anyone care to comment why it didnt help the stock at the time:

StreamLogic announces OEM relationship with Apple Computer
high-performance PCI Ultra SCSI JackHammer to be included with all Apple 9650 WorkGroup Servers
MENLO PARK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 28, 1997-- StreamLogic Corp , developers of the award-winning SledgeHammer-Pro family of high-performance, highly fault-tolerant RAID solutions, Monday announced that Apple Computer (Nasdaq:APPL) will be shipping StreamLogic's PCI Ultra SCSI JackHammer with all new Apple 9650 WorkGroup Servers.
StreamLogic also announced that its Hammer, SledgeHammer and SledgeHammer-Pro families -- including the industry-acclaimed fault- tolerant RAID 5 solution, the SledgeHammer-Pro FT -- are fully compatible with all the new Apple WorkGroup Servers.
``StreamLogic shares Apple's vision that the Apple WorkGroup Server is a strong platform for networked and intranet environments,'' commented Robert Brown, StreamLogic's product manager for the Hammer line of products.
``The network and intranet markets are two of the fastest-growing segments of the computer marketplace. As a serious player in RAID solutions, we are flattered that Apple has selected the PCI Ultra SCSI JackHammer for inclusion with its 9650 WorkGroup Server-class products.
``StreamLogic looks forward to delivering the highest-performance, most fault-tolerant solutions for Apple-based network and intranet architectures.''
The JackHammer's sophisticated bus mastering design allows the CPU to off-load drive-management tasks to the JackHammer, freeing the Apple WorkGroup Server to perform other tasks. Advanced features such as SCSI disconnect/reconnect, tagged command queuing and complete support for either synchronous or asynchronous I/O maximize the performance of today's sophisticated drives to increase productivity.
The JackHammer is run by StreamLogic's customized Apple SCSI Interface Module driver, optimized for maximum performance.
Included with the JackHammer is a software control panel that has easy-to-configure user interfaces to update the parameters or reprogram the JackHammer, and a significant trouble-shooting tool -- the ability to diagnose pinouts. This ease of use, combined with the ability to test the JackHammer, makes it an ideal solution for the server environment.
StreamLogic's PCI Ultra SCSI JackHammer is fully compatible with all SCSI-1, Fast SCSI-2, Fast & Wide SCSI-2 and Ultra SCSI storage devices. The PCI Ultra SCSI JackHammer's intelligent Direct Memory Access transfers data directly to memory. Tagged Command Queuing improves drive performance by enabling multiple I/O requests to be stored and sorted, and then executed together.
The flash ROM chip ensures future compatibility -- firmware is easily upgraded through software. The PCI Ultra SCSI JackHammer adds a high-performance Ultra SCSI-3 port to the Apple WorkGroup Server, while leaving the native SCSI port of the server fully functional. Up to 15 internal or external SCSI devices are supported per card.
Key features of the PCI Ultra SCSI JackHammer include:
-- 40 MHz RISC-based Wide Ultra SCSI-3 processor;
-- Support for AppleShare and MacOS;
-- Software control panel;
-- Custom Apple SIM driver;
-- Up to 105 MB/sec DMA transfer rate;
-- PCI bus master;
-- High-speed PCI bus transfers -- up to 132 MB/sec over 32-bit
bus;
-- Supports asynchronous I/O, which allows multiple users to
access a central database;
-- Supports synchronous I/O for high-throughput applications;
-- Conforms to PCI Local Bus Specification V2.0;
-- Supports adjustable cache line write and invalidate
transfers;
-- Flash ROM upgradable firmware ensures future compatibility;
-- PCI short card form factor;
-- Automatic Digital Active Termination;
-- Software to diagnose pinouts of JackHammer;
-- One-year warranty from Apple Computer.
The PCI Ultra SCSI JackHammer will be shipping with Apple's WorkGroup Servers in May 1997.
